Well now, it’s been a minute, hasn’t it? I blame summer. I’ve stretched myself over many different projects but it’s what keeps me sane. I’m the most productive at this point. Can you imagine if I actually lived somewhere warm how much I would actually get done in a year? But I digress…
Last Friday, July 1st, was my FIRST First Friday experience as an artist here in Indianapolis. [go here if you’d like to learn more and I don’t have to write a rambling post].
Last SEPTEMBER I searched out possible First Friday artist spots and I contacted New Day Craft in Fountain Square, Indianapolis. They didn’t have an opening until JULY of 2016 but I went ahead and said OK. Gave me time to plan, right?….
Fast forward ten months and I was, in true ‘Smash’ fashion, putting the finishing touches on everything about a week beforehand – BUT, it all came together really well and the show was a success.
Goals for the future? Maybe another First Friday sometime this fall?
I regret I didn’t take more pictures at the actual show but I was busy being a chatterbox. Thank you to all who made it there that night! And if you didn’t, there’s still time to check it out until the end of the month.
